Profession: Musician
William returned to Adelaide from Cologne, Germany, in March 2005 having completed a Musik Diplom at the Hochschule für Musik Köln. His previous studies comprise a Bachelor of Music Degree with first class honours from the Elder Conservatorium and the Advanced Performance Programme at the Australian National Academy of Music.
In Germany William played regularly with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn and the Sinfonietta Köln. He presented chamber works at the Flavigny Music Festival, France 2003 and in the Wuppertal Alte Stadthalle with professors from the Köln and Dusseldorf Music Schools in Dec 2004.
Since returning to Adelaide William has played regularly with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and as principal viola of the Adelaide Art Orchestra as well as presenting various solo recitals. He has been engaged as viola tutor for the Adelaide Youth Orchestra, the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra and South Australian State Music Camp. He has also performed chamber works in two of the Elder Hall lunchtime concerts.
William is secretary for the organising committee of the 2007 International Viola Congress to be held in Adelaide.
