Olivia tried the fugu. She said it is sweet and chewy and delicious, the words "unfuckin' believable" were used.

This is rather informative

Submitted by Pauline on Sat, 24/09/2011 - 03:16.

This is rather informative post and we're able to know about comedians. It definitely is perfect place for us to get pleasure from and get rid of tensions. Thanks for this service that you simply merely have supplied for us as a way to fresh our minds.

EAT FUGU

Submitted by Tom on Mon, 14/02/2005 - 18:33.

Dont carve it yourself.
Have a duel to the death with a terracotta warrior.
Hmmm,
Sing Karaoke with hot japanese schoolgirls
Agree to Kyoto, (for me also)
Get mental drunk on saki and shout offensively "BANZI" at every old man who looks even remotely like Mr Miyagi.

Japanese Education

Submitted by MartyG on Tue, 15/02/2005 - 12:14.

From my "internet" based Japanese education I would speculate that it is going to be interesting to say the least. Something about the design of the Japanese school uniform coupled with the Japanese game show that I find intriguing...

Japanese ID

It is unfortunate that our only understanding of Japanese culture is from the perspective of stereotypes and porn. And yet if not unfortunate it is at least amusing.

Brush up your "Engrish" skills

Submitted by Rookie on Mon, 21/02/2005 - 14:44.

If you haven't been to the site http://www.engrish.com/index.php then I suggest you do before you leave, it will provide you with a valuable lesson on how the Japanese can interpret English.

FOBESE

Submitted by MartyG on Sat, 26/02/2005 - 10:50.

Working closely with a team of first and second generation immigrants(including myself) we have coined the acronym FOBLISH. Fresh Off the Boat English, of course this is used to discribe the often humorous mispronunciation or spelling of 'da inglash'.
This would mean that you Mr AG would be speaking FOPESE! Fresh Off the Plane Japanese...
Arhh I can see you now english to japanese dictionary in hand struggling to order Sushi while trying to ask what the used by date is ;p

Kogo Jingo

Submitted by MartyG on Sat, 26/02/2005 - 11:05.

Slight geographic and historical correction (re: EAT FUGU post that I know you will find annoying) Terracota Warriors are a Chinese archelogical wonder.
Emperor Qinshihuang's tomb (r. 221-207 BC) houses at least 8,000 warriors to defend him in the afterlife.
I still think he should duel to the death but with someone like Kogo Jingo, Empress of Japan who was skilled with sword, bow and naginata. She conquered Korea in 201 AD, personally leading her navy who she prohibited from raping or plundering when they took cities(huh). Among the tributes she brought back from her conquests was Japan's first written language. I think this skirt is certainly a worthy opponent for the likes of our AG!

Perhaps you could have a weekly post discussing interesting trivia like that Manimal. I *am* serious.

Hey there.Don't chase the fun, let it surround you, engulf you and gobble you up until all that is left is the raw fish hanging left over at the end of the jetty. Life is not about what you should find in Tokyo but what the 'others' don't seem to come across because they are too busy downing the top quality sushi and think that it comes out of cans and is actually caught like that. It swims in the ocean without fins-sashimi!

Contact Mariko if you already haven't-one of my best friend's who did university here with us and is now teaching belly-dancing and performing at Turkish restaurants in Tokyo.

Say hello to Takeshi Kawamura. The workshop we did with Daisan Erotica whilst at uni was memorable, eccentric and abstract all in one.

Alex.Try the fish at the end of the jetty.
Liv, Try to make a dress out of the fish at the end of the jetty.
Don't forget to go to Chiba to see that Japan does have surf.
Stay aussie, stay cool and just step into the pool.....that will take you to the height of a culture and humanity.

Lots of love,
