Superstitions

Submitted by Alex Gibson on Tue, 29/01/2008 - 01:14.

It is better to deny every superstition than to entertain its possibility. I say this not from a denial that a superstition may not contain some truth, but from an intense distaste for the potential harm superstitions can create. If a superstition is true or not is irrelevant. To hold an irrational belief in a superstition without evidence of its factuality or to prove a superstition as fact after believing it irrationally amounts to the same harm. The harm of irrational belief. Superstition, passion or irrational belief are tools for manipulators, and con-artists to steal your free will and uniqueness and replace it will bland sayings, actions and fears. And they will do this not to add to your spirit, mind or body - but rather for their own greed and satisfaction. Religion, superstition and irrational belief are a sedative of theives that will steal your spirit, body and mind.
