The Eleventh Hour began because:
William Henderson and Anne Thompson wanted to work over time with an ensemble of artists who shared both their fascination with the possibilities of language and theatre space and their wish to rediscover a genuine process of composition in the theatre.

The Eleventh Hour wants:
poetry in the theatre - theatre in the poetry

The Eleventh Hour is interested in:
abstract space and concrete ideas - composition and counterpoint - making sense of texts and bodies in space & time - the word in, and out of, history

The Eleventh Hour enjoys:
new forms - laughter - making art slowly

The Eleventh Hour has so far performed works by:
