Meta Story

We were having a discussion in the writers meeting about the TNA's restrictions on couples, sex, contraception and public interaction. We came up with these ideas:

CONTRACEPTION:
- absolutely everyone in 2027 is on contraception.
- the contraception is implanted with other drugs, which 'normalise' and stabilise any irregularities, and also calm and subdue and radical ways of thinking - See Jane's Script...

CONCEPTION:
- if you want to conceive, you have to apply for a permit to go off of the contraception.

The latter two blanket rules are in place to deal with the over population problems from 2010 - 2017 and have been in place since the TNA came into government.

PUBLIC INTERACTION:
- there is minimal public interaction under the TNA laws. Workers are confined to work-pods, any overt sexual activity is considered a 'sex-offence' and results in 'Censorship', entertainment is confined to the internet and no $ go into art and culture or transportation.

TRANSPORT:
- there has been no development in the public transport system since 2017.
- because of oil costs and scarcity petrol can only be bought on the black market, and thus not many people travel beyond walking distance.

WORK:
- worker's are confined to 'work-pod's' which are situated in their homes. Most business is done online.

ENTERTAINMENT:
- there has been no investment in public/social entertainment since 2017. Most of what is around is hard to get to because of lack of transport, and is usually quite underground/avant garde.
- most entertainment is accessed at home - online.

SEX OFFENDERS:
- are instantly 'Censored' and include gays, bi-sexuals and anyone of a somewhat promiscuous nature.
