Expanding the World of Senseless

Submitted by Olivia on Wed, 24/05/2006 - 11:19.

I understand the concerns raised in the last few posts, yet feel that my task has always been to establish a world which attempts to deal with the core issues of the project - censorship and surveillance. Senseless, from my point of view, is not a forum for dealing with all of the world’s problems. Yet, the beauty of Senseless is that it is a collaboration, and as such all the issues which have been raised, and others, can and should be referred to, developed and explored in the individual works. It is everyone’s task to work toward linking the stories and creating solid foundations and networks between them so that these issues are not simply dealt with in a superficial manner.

For example, I believe that Willoh’s draft touches on issues relating to the ‘exponential global population growth’ raised by Lachlan in his post ‘Fossil Fuel’. Perhaps, as she hints at, ‘The Censored’ function as one of the TNA’s solutions to this problem?

Anyway, that’s enough from me, it is time for us all to be dealing with these problems in our own material and following that, we can once again review the ‘New World Order’, so to speak.
